EST. 1908 We absolutely love coming here when we are in Cincinnati! (Oakley) This place brings back Childhood memories ♥️ Handmade Candy from my home town! We had Fast , Amazing service & all of our sweets were great! Close parking is always a plus in this little square! All of their Easter candy was on full display, and it was all so adorable! We picked out a variety of chocolates to bring back home to Lily,Ky with us. I can't wait until our next trip with the family, I would recommend Aglamesis to everyone! Great Experience, Great little Parlor! Service with a Smile!😊
MoreQuaint ice cream and pastry place. Popular even on a cold and rainy night. Parking is close by. A throwback into the 50's. Quaint silverware and ice cream cups. Good service at the table. Worth the visit.
MoreVery tasty. A little smoother than Graeter's. The peach 🍑 is delicious . The pineapple pecan reminds me of pineapple upside down cake
MoreOne of the best Ice Cream places to go in Cincinnati. It’s been there for ever. Took my grandchildren there and you could see the joy as the took their first lick! Yummy in their tummy! Easter is a great festive time to be there. Staff are very nice! 🙏🏽🐇🐰
MoreLived in Cincinnati most of my life and never knew about this place until I moved away and came back to visit. If you have a sweet tooth, this is the place to be!
MoreGreat ice cream, ambience, and service.
Lots of young staff who don’t seem to work well under pressure. Came on a Friday evening, and there were a couple of families dining in for sundaes, and employees were really frazzled so it was hard to get our order.Once we did, the ice cream itself was pretty good. The banana chocolate chip was excellent with a natural banana flavor.
MoreMy husband and oldest son loved their milkshakes! Nice, quaint, vintage ice cream parlour atmosphere and they had good customer service! The chocolate display looked and smelled so divine! We will be coming back. Hopefully one day they get some vegan treats because I would love to get something from there as well.
MoreGreat tasting ice cream and scrumptious candies.A bit on the pricey side tho.
There's no comparison. Aglanesis Brothers is tops! While other local ice cream may be popular, this ice cream wins hands-down. Creamy and delicious. It's the closest to my childhood delight of Momma's homemade summer ice cream. YUMMY!!😄
MoreAbsolutely stylish period ice cream parlor with fabulous ice cream, sorbets and chocolate. Fresh raspberry ice was incredible as was the black walnut ice cream. Smoky tasting delight!
MoreIt's a cool place. Have some ice cream or candy and check out some history.
Old fashioned ice cream and fancy candy store
The ice cream is amazing one of my favorites is there cookies and cream.
Amazing place and beautiful ambiance. You'll get to choose from variety of flavors in Icecreams, sundaes and milkshakes.
MoreTremendous old fashioned icecream with Rich smooth toppings👍 The staff was very helpful and friendly 😊 The chocolates were AMAZING! A wonderful family atmosphere, will definitely make it a place to visit in the future ❤️
MoreThe authentic turn of the century ice cream parlor in Cincinnati. Their ice cream flavors are all fantastic, and they make great sundaes, floats, sodas, etc. They also make their own candies which are fantastic. Expect crowds on summer evenings.
MoreCute ice cream shop! Great date night stop. The ice cream was really good, but it is kind of pricey. Our banana split was over $7 and not very big, BUT it was very tasty! Free parking in the lot next door.
MoreOh my gosh this place is amazing. The people are so friendly and they know just how to help you if you don't see something you want on the menu or if you are allergic to an ingredient or something along those lines. I also love the how they kept the place identical to how it was when it first opened. They sell chocolate there as well. I will be taking my kids here. It looks like a place a kid would love to go to.
MoreQuaint shop with an old-time feel in a great location. Take out is available in addition to some seating inside. The last time I was there was a Saturday evening in September and we were able to find seating for 5. There is a reasonably spacious parking lot that offers free parking just a few buildings to the east. The ice cream is really good and is a strong rival to the other one or two ice cream shops in the city that may be better known. Don't forget to check out their seasonal flavors.I should mention that they also have a decent-sized candy counter filled with homemade chocolates and assorted sweets.
MoreAwesome service. Love the sodas. Always a friendly and fun dining atmosphere with a nice menu and a wide range of chocolates available.
MoreThere is Graeter's and there is Aglamesis. Both have great ice cream but Aglamesis has old school presentation and ambiance. Terrific candies and treats that makes it a destination for Easter and other holidays. Essentially, Aglamesis hasn't changed over the decades and that is a good thing.
MoreAlways a great little stop for some icecream, the staff is as sweet as the treats they serve. I usually get the two scoop sundae with hot fudge
MoreIf you are looking for an old school ice cream parlor and soda stand, then this is your place! located in the heart of downtown Oakley, OH. It is a slice of nostalgia, right out of the 1950's era. Not only do they have amazing ice cream, they have one of the largest selections of chocolate candies I have ever seen....I mean, so many to choose from and in all kinds of shapes, sizes & flavors. I had the Butterscotch ice cream in a waffle cone and it was so good! The place is old and not in the best shape, but that's what is cool about the place....it has so much character and charm. Skip the franchise/chain ice cream shops and head over to Aglamesis Bros ice cream!
MoreThis super cute old-fashioned ice cream parlor has been in business since the 1910s. They still serve their own homemade ice creams and toppings in silver dishes, delivered right to your table. The perfect ice cream date!
MoreA Cincinnati tradition. Great family place for ice cream. The Basin Street Sunday is a perfect combo of chocolate, marshmallow and vanilla. We make it a family tradition to come every year and shop in the toy store nearby. Service is always great and friendly. They make delicious candies too!
MoreDelightful ice cream parlor with delicious confections. Great for date night, family outings, special occasions. Dine inside this classic shop in comfort with classic wire-framed seats and marble tabletops and Tiffany lamps. Outdoor seating is pet-friendly and offers excellent people watching in Oakley Square. Aglamesis ice cream is available at Kroger’s and other local groceries.
MoreLove this little vintage candy store! Such a great atmosphere and employees are always so friendly!
MoreStopped by on recommendation of a local, and was promised that I would love the place from the moment I opened the door, and they were right. The shop just smells like everything is going to taste good, and everything I tried was delicious! Also, there's a parking lot specifically for the shops in this strip, and that was a huge, huge plus.
MoreGood place for the best tasting ice cream and shakes. I like their option of making my own malt with my favorite ice creams.
MoreCame on a Saturday evening. Fewer young staff who didn't even have time to acknowledge us, ask for our order and hadn't cleaned previous tables; there were already couple of families having sundaes; finally had to go myself n ask for takeout. The lady at the counter said that waffle cones were broken n fresh cones were downstairs. (meaning i should change my order because she was too lazy to go downstairs n pick up fresh cones).
MoreA cute and cozy place located in the Oakley neighborhood and definitely beats its other location on Montgomery road in terms of ambiance, vibe and service. Their sundaes are to die for. I just wish they served lattes too!
MoreGreat products delicious and decadent. Will shop here again! Service is always great and people are friendly. Buy here and head over to King Arthur's court and enjoy the rest of your day with the kids 🤩💗
MoreReally great ice cream.
This is my all time favorite ice cream parlor... Delicious local ice cream served on actual dishes (unlike that other place that uses disposable cups) and an exceptionally cute location.
MoreMy opinion- they are better than Graeters. We love their ice cream! Pure awesomeness!
MoreWhat a treasure! The gal there gave us a great little history lesson on the history of the place and the family. The ice cream was excellent. The candy looked scrumptious but we didn't indulge. I was glad we made the trip to Oakley to finally check it out. It was worth it!
MoreAglamesis or Graeter's? The age old question in Cincinnati. Some prefer one over the other, but for me, Aglamesis wins the candy round and Graeter's wins for Ice Cream. You really can't go wrong either way.
MoreEvery experience I’ve had here has been wonderful. There ice cream is so good...when I take it home I only eat a couple bites at a time because I want the experiences to last and I don’t live in the area. Our grandparents would have gone there as kids and they have it figured out. A must try if you love ice cream!!
MoreAbsolutely terrible experience. Didn't even buy anything after walking in the door and being screamed at to stay in line. Disappointing that this company was willing to lose the business of 8 customers because they cannot properly manage a "slight" rush if 10 people are in the restaurant.
MoreDiscovered this gem when I was craving a cherry phosphate and have been back many times. We bring friends visiting Cincinnati as well as encourage local friends to go for themselves! The Tiffany glass lamps are a must-see and anything I’ve ever ordered had been delicious! My favorite ice cream in town. Plus it’s always nice to grab a few pieces of chocolate for the road!
MoreMost likely the best ice cream in the entire United States Bar none period. HAND PACKED PERFECT.!!@
MoreA fun ice-cream parlour in Hyde park area. The ice-cream is good. They do have a lot of chocolates too.
MoreHands down the BEST ice cream. The flavors are absolutely amazing and the chocolate is everything you want it to be and more. You won’t regret a visit.
MoreGreat selection of home made ice cream and candies in an old time soda fountain style store. Aglamesis' is a historic long time local favourites - not many businesses like this left with all the competition from the large chain franchises. Plenty of inside seating with more outside when the weather is nice. Make sure to check it out if you are in the area. Ample parking is nearby.
MoreLove the atmosphere. The ice cream is so good but the chocolates are amazing. We try to stop when we're in the area.
MoreGreat service and a wide variety of ice cream flavors.
I ordered a scoop of the double chocolate chip ice cream and it was really really good! When you get here, they sit you down, offer menus, pour you a glass of water, and take your order when you're ready. The customer service is polite and the decor inside is nice and preserved from the early 1900's. I had a good time here and would come again (accommodates small groups or good for a low key but classy date night!)
MoreIt's like walking into a 1900s soda shoppe Great place, Sweet atmosphere. (Pun intended)
MoreWonderful ice cream as well as chocolates and sweets.
